Plein Air Workshop with artist David Yapp
Hosted by
Camino,
CALIFORNIA
Full Day Workshop: 9:00am to 4:00pm
About the Workshop
Whether beginner or intermediate artist, you are warmly invited to join British artist and El Dorado county resident, David Yapp to learn to paint a beautiful impressionist landscape painting. You will be painting en plein air (in the open air) in the exquisite scenery of the Sierra foothills.
“En plein air” is a French term meaning “in the open air”, and refers to painting outdoors, on location. This was a very popular approach of the French Impressionist painters such as Monet and Renoir, who incorporated the natural light, color and movement of the outdoors into their paintings.
