About the Workshop
Whether beginner or intermediate artist, you are warmly invited to join artist, David Yapp to learn how to paint a beautiful impressionist landscape painting en plein air and enjoy some Mediterranean inspired wine.
“En plein air” is a French term meaning “in the open air”, and refers to painting outdoors, on location. This was a very popular approach of the French Impressionist painters such as Monet and Renoir, who incorporated the natural light, color and movement of the outdoors into their paintings.

SCHEDULE
You can either register for a half day session or for the full day
FULL DAY WORKSHOP
You will create a beautiful full-color impressionist landscape painting
9am–12pm Morning Session
12–1pm Lunch* with a choice of either a glass of red or white wine.
1–4pm Afternoon session
*You can either bring your own lunch or purchase a gourmet sandwich boxed lunch.

HALF DAY WORKSHOP
You will create a beautiful sepia-colored impressionist landscape painting
9am–12pm Morning session only
12–1pm Lunch* with a choice of either a glass of red or white wine.

Half Day (Bring your own materials and equipment) $60
Half Day (With materials and equipment rental) $70

Apron or a long sleeve shirt you don’t mind getting paint on
A broad-brimmed hat
Shades for when you are not painting
Sunscreen
Water bottle with plenty of water to keep hydrated during the workshop.
Bring layers to wear
Rental includes all the materials and equipment you will need for the workshop, with a basic color range of oil paints.
MATERIALS LIST—For those bringing their own materials and equipment
British artist, David Yapp is an avid landscape painter who enjoys exploring the mountains and foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. David has lived in California for the last twenty years working in a range of media from watercolors, pen and ink, to oils. He has exhibited in both Europe and the U.S.
